No it's not the basic human reaction. You have to ask without looking for an answer then observation can take place and then the workings of the mind can unfold.
You say faith but faith is only needed because there is doubt present. So faith stops us from having clear perception of doubt so then one can't be free from doubt.
I agree...the base human reaction is to question why something happens or does not happen...but shouldn't we have the luxury of knowing that our faith is going to carry us through to our next endeavor?
