 | I think you can all see from the various discussions on fb how complicated the truth becomes when the mind tries to analyze and communicate it. Nondual realization is really quite simple. There are two undeniable, incontrovertable truths about ourselves: (1) we know we exist and (2) we know we are aware. These two experiences are self-evident and do not need mind to interpret them. We are AWARE PRESENCE. Period. Nothing more and nothing less. We are that from which all things arise and pass away, the Watcher of all manifestation. And yet we are changeless and unaffected by the constant flux of experience, much like the ocean remains unaffected by waves.
Now, there is absolutely NO JOURNEY that is necessary to see this. In fact, the spiritual journey for some can be seen as a dodge, a way to avoid the ever-present and SIMPLE truth about ourselves. As I have said elsewhere, the spritual journey leads directly AWAY from the truth of our being because it is based on the false assumption that we are NOT already what we are, that something is missing, that some experience must be worked for and attained in the future. This is all so much spiritual propaganda. NOTHING is missing. How far must we journey to be what we always and already are? Quiet thought for just a moment and the clear, everpresent bliss of being is apparent in the silence. That is all. Nothing more is necessary. We are THAT. |
